The Hawaiian proverb “Aloha ʻOe,” meaning “Farewell to Thee,” resonates deeply with me, as it calls us to remember and love always. Queen Liliʻuokalani, Hawaii’s last reigning monarch, not only wrote this beautiful song but also designed the iconic Hawaiian heirloom bracelet, inscribed with “Aloha ʻOe,” as a lasting keepsake of her love for the Hawaiian people. This timeless piece of jewelry is a symbol of remembrance, connection, and the enduring spirit of Aloha.

In my own jewelry designs, I am inspired by this same sense of timelessness. I draw from the beloved flowers of Hawaii—those cherished from the days of the monarchy to the present—flowers that are strung into leis and presented as gifts to honor one another. Through my work, I strive to honor our Hawaiian culture, traditions, and heritage, creating pieces that represent our past, present, and future. Just as leis symbolize love and respect, my designs aim to carry forward that same sense of unity and connection, allowing the beauty of our islands to live on through each timeless creation.
